A Thing or Three on Making Assumptions
First things first, Happy new year !!!, I know, I know it's March, but I mean let love lead, don’t beat me up.
On my end, I’ve been building my knowledge base and trying to do better. also ensuring I'm also keeping to my 2022 mantra: More Love, Less Ego.
This is my first article for 2022, I’ve written tons and thrown in the draft, I really don’t know why but it seems to me like its a mental block thing or work, and studying just didn’t give me the time to write.
I have actually been quite busy shuffling between work and completing my nano degree in data structures and algorithms from Udacity and obtaining my CS50 professional certificate in Computer Science for game development from Harvard University’s online program on Edx.
I would also love to know how you are approaching the new year and how it has been responding.
My Game is also available for those who want to play with it. It's a bit shabby, but if I hoard it to myself I don’t think I will learn from user reviews and build better games in the future so please, after reading ensure you check it out here
The title says a thing or three about assumptions and I'm here to list them and why you should assume less this new year and be the best version of yourself.
- ===People generally want to help! It is a chance to give back, network, and simply share excitement and information. You will likely be surprised by people’s willingness to share, so never assume that someone won’t assist if you require their assistance.
- ===Start building relationships as soon as possible; these are long-term relationships that will require some nurturing. Never assume what is a good or bad relationship rather experience it for yourself
- ===Get out of your comfort zone and learn to be proactive about asking. The worst that can happen is that someone declines or does not respond to your request. But there will be people who don’t decline and will respond!
