The pod in the mud

I fell in love again guys. It’s been 6months since I wrote anything here because everything was for her ears and ears alone. It made her smile and her smile made me happy.

That might change now that I have no one to tell these stories to, I guess I’m back here to my roots, please forgive me for leaving.

I messed up real bad and still love really good, Just hope somehow, or someway, what is mine will find their way back to me.

So, Today was super crazy and it went like this: had this buzzing feeling about not going to work my body, and my soul was against every atom of getting up from my bed.

I had already composed an excuse in my head with almost 13 reasons why I would miss work today, and boy! they were top-notch.

But the workaholic that I am had to do the most and so my woes began.

Like 2Baba said I wake up in the morning and I brush up my feet, my day started like an NFANA IBAGA 2004 hit track.

On my way out, the sky is dark, the time is 5:15 am WAT, and it began when I stepped into a pool of mud, I literally entered the floor, screaming the F* Word within me.

Luckily for me, I was close to a filling station and managed to navigate to the station to appeal for water to clean up, the attendants were super nice and showed me to a tap where I washed the mud off, but my trousers and slides were soaking wet.

I am sure you might be wondering why I am wearing a slide to work and not a shoe. don’t worry I won’t tell you why so let’s go back to my story.

I was just so angry and repeatedly blamed myself for stepping out of the house, I continue my journey to Oshodi where I usually board the Oshodi-Ajah BRT Bus.

Today I missed the first bus, but the line wasn’t so long for the second bus, I got in almost immediately, swiped my card, secured my window seat, and brought out my phone to listen to music as I usually do.

Phase 2 of my heartbreak, I dipped my hand in my left pocket to get my AirPods, my AirPods are nowhere to be found.

My dear AirPods had fallen out of my right pocket during the whole mud-to-filling station ruckus I went through earlier.

I was mad like x10, I'm still mad, I'm angry, I'm hurt.

The b*stard BRT driver played a really bad piece of music on the bus, and I was not having it, the whole frustration exploded in me, didn’t realize it when I just screamed at the driver to turn it off.

Funny enough The whole bus wasn’t having it, they just needed someone to speak up and they joined in and lambasted him too.

I eventually got to the office and the one person I usually share this with wasn’t even interested, it broke me and I realized that humans have the ability to easily switch their emotions like the Vampires from “The Vampire Diaries”, I just pray and hope it gets turned back on share our trials, and we live happily ever after.

On days like this, I pray to God for a vampire's heart so I can cope, but that n*gga keeps making me all lovey-dovey like an Agege bread and I am grateful for that.

Till next time I hope nothing weird happens again but just in case, this is not a drill 😉 .

NB: This story is Fiction mixed with Facts, you will have to just enjoy the story 😉 rather than figuring out which is which
